Donald Albracht served the United States of America as a Special Agent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for over 28 years. His experience has been extensive and diverse including investigations and training as well as leadership of an FBI SWAT Team and a Violent Crime Task Force. Don also served as a Firearms and Tactical Instructor to federal, state and local law enforcement agencies, traveling nationwide and internationally. The bulk of his experience was primarily investigations of Violent Crimes/Gangs and Terrorism and he led a very successful and well respected FBI Task Force focused on Violent Crime and Fugitives in the Kansas City metro area. He also served as the Principal Tactical Instructor and Firearms Instructor for the Kansas City Division of the FBI. With 25 years tactical experience as an FBI SWAT Team Member, Squad Leader, Assistant Team Leader and Senior Team Leader, he was responsible for the training and leadership of the Kansas City Office of the FBI's SWAT Team. In addition for awards for expert shooting skills, Don is a two time recipient of the FBI Shield of Bravery and recipient of the Kansas Peace Officers Association Gold Award for Bravery, along with numerous awards and commendations for exemplary conduct of investigations and training. In addition to his duties at Centerfire, Don does independent contracting as a private investigator, security consultant and provides executive protection services.

Corinne Mosher attended the University of Missouri Kansas City where she studied at the prestigious Conservatory of Music. She is an accomplished violinist and has participated in numerous musical events. She has worked at Centerfire Shooting Sports since we opened and has been essential in creating content for some of our most popular classes. She has studied firearms under Rick Staples, Clint Smith, David Hill, and Taran Butler. She has been a student at the world famous Thunder Ranch in Oregon.  Corinne entered the sport of competitive shooting (3gun) in early 2014 and has quickly gained a national and international following on social media sites. She has competed in nearly 10 competitions in less than a year and recently took 2nd place in her division at the historic ladies only 3 gun in Atlanta, Georgia. She is well known throughout the shooting community and proudly represents Taran Tactical Innovations, 5.11 Tactical, Taccom, Tactical Simulation Solutions, and Centerfire Shooting sports. She has recently been named as a 5.11 Tactical Ambassador.  Corinne is married to a local Police Officer and has a 7 year old daughter that recently became one of the youngest black belts in Korean American Tae-kwon-do. You can find Corinne teaching our classes and giving private lessons to those wanting to learn more.

Nolan May is an avid outdoorsman and firearms enthusiast with many years of experience. Nolan won the 2010 Kansas State Archery tournament in his class, NWKS Skeet and Trap Champion in the 18 and younger class in 2003 & 2004 and was the Beaver Creek Muzzleloader Champion in 2002. He is a recent graduate from the University of Kansas with a Business and Leadership Degree. Most currently you might have seen him on an episode of Comin’ in Hot for one of his many hunting expeditions presented by Smoked ‘Um Productions. He is an NRA Certified Instructor, NRA Certified Range Safety Officer and certified by the Kansas Attorney General to teach the Kansas Concealed Carry Handgun Class.

William Basore is one of the owners of Centerfire Shooting Sports. He has enjoyed sport shooting and hunting all of his life. He is also an NRA Certified Instructor. He is a graduate of the NRA Range Development Conference, and a certified Range Safety Officer. Bill is certified to teach Inside the Home Protection, Outside the Home Protection and the Kansas Concealed Carry Handgun Class.  Bill is also certified for Jackson, Clay, & Platte counties in Missouri for the Concealed Carry Handgun Class.  After serving 37 years as a Volunteer Fire Captain for the Leawood Fire Department, Bill knows the importance of protecting oneself.  He looks forward to bringing not only his firearms knowledge, but also his public service experience to his classroom.

Greg Mendiaz is a former Federal Criminal Investigator who began his law enforcement career over ten years ago in the State of Oklahoma. He holds a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice Management and Administration and has completed over 850 hours of advanced law enforcement training. Greg is a Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) Certified Firearms Instructor, who has successfully attended courses taught by some of the top training cadre in the U.S. More recently, while Greg was performing his regular investigative duties, he was also an active member on two different multi-jurisdictional specialized units; serving as an Operator on a large SWAT Team, as well as a member of a high-value Tactical Warrant Team. Greg is married and loves traveling almost as much as his affinity for firearms and instruction.

Andrew Peterson was first introduced to firearms was at an outdoor shooting range in Western Kansas at the age of 6. Since that moment, he has been an avid shooter and enthusiast for the sport. Andrew attended the University of Oklahoma as a National Merit Scholar and earned his bachelor's degree in Criminology. He had a 5 year career in law enforcement, serving as both a Kansas State Trooper and police officer for a local Kansas agency. During his law enforcement career, he served as department armorer and trained in disciplines such as active shooter response and response to terrorist incidents. Andrew is a certified NRA firearms instructor and competes in USPSA pistol matches. He also is a certified EMT.  In his spare time, Andrew enjoys spending time with his wife of over 10 years and their young son. In addition to his love of shooting sports, he enjoys traveling, watching sports, wearing colorful socks, and is a fitness enthusiast. Andrew has a focus on continuous improvement and learning, and enjoys sharing his love of shooting with others whether they are experienced or just beginning in the sport.

Mark Rosen is a retired Law Enforcement officer and an NRA certified instructor. Mark started his career with the Johnson County Sheriff's office where he worked in the Detention Division, Court Services Division, Field Operations/Patrol and Special Investigations/Undercover Narcotics. Mark finished his law enforcement career of twenty years in Michigan where he retired as a patrol officer and training officer. Mark is married with two children and two grandchildren. He enjoys shooting, hunting, golf and flying.

 

Ryan Geer served 23 years in the United States Marine Corps, spending ten years enlisted before earning his commission as an Officer. Throughout his career in the Marines, Ryan held positions including Armorer, Primary Marksmanship Instructor, and Range Safety Officer. He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois and his master's degree from Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California. Ryan remains passionate about sport shooting and is an NRA certified firearms instructor.

 

Fred Keeney is a graduate of Spring Hill High School and the University of Kansas. He is an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman. Fred joined the United States Marines in 1993 and served as an infantryman for 22 years. Fred began his career as an Anti-Tank Missleman; he also served as an Assaultman, Heavy Machine Gunner, and Rifleman. Fred is a graduate of Combat Marksmanship Coaches Course, Combat Marksmanship Trainers Course, Maritime Special Purpose Force, Security Element Course, Improvised Explosives and Applied Demolitions, Small Arms Weapons Instructor Course, Range and Training Area Management Safety Course, The Basic Officers Course, Range Officer Course, Infantry Weapons Officer Course. Fred served combat tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan as a platoon sergeant and as an Infantry Weapons Officer (Gunner). He retired from the Marine Corps in June of 2015 as a Chief Warrant Officer 4 and currently resides in Overland Park.

 

Alex Hill is a manager at Centerfire Shooting Sports, having been with the company since moving from Massachusetts to Kansas in 2014. He previously served as a Marine Corps Infantryman from 2005-2009, and deployed to the Mediterranean/Persian Gulf region, as well as Ramadi, Iraq. His roles included Automatic Rifleman, Fire Team Leader, and Combat Marksmanship Coach. After being honorably discharged he attended college and began working in the firearms industry. He has instructor certifications from the NRA in both Basic Pistol and Home Firearms Safety disciplines, in addition to armorer certifications from Glock, Sig Sauer on the AR-15, and Smith & Wesson for the M&P pistol line. In his spare time, he likes to spend time with his wife and young daughter, and read about American history.

 

Douglas L. Spillers 30 year career as a Special Agent with the FBI brought him assignments in San Diego, New York and Kansas City Field Offices. He worked Drug Trafficking Organizations, Violent Crimes Matters and Fugitive Investigations. As an FBI Firearms Instructor for 24 years he instructed in New York and Kansas City and served as Lead Firearms Instructor for the Kansas Division for 12 years. He was an FBI SWAT Team Operator including Observer/Sniper Team Leader, Squad Leader and Assistant Team Leader.
Named 2002 Tactical Officer of the year by the Kansas City Metropolitan Officers Association for tactical training provided to state and local SWAT teams, and Doug is the recipient of the FBI Shield of Bravery in 2009.
Doug graduated from James Madison University and George Mason University School of Law and is currently a member of the Virginia Bar Association.

 

Todd and Stacey Smyly are outdoor enthusiasts and enjoy hunting. Todd has hunted a wide variety of species since the age of 6 and continues today passing the tradition down to his two daughters, 7 and 8 years of age. Stacey has enjoyed the outdoors as well as target and trap shooting, but has only taken up hunting in the past few years. Todd is an Environmental Health & Safety Manager for a local company. Stacey has spent 17 years in the health and safety profession, giving them over 30 years combined experience in environmental health & safety and management. They volunteer as Kansas Hunter Education instructors to ensure that the next generation enjoys the sport of hunting responsibly and safely.
